Video That Much Better: Screencasting

by Vickie on July 9, 2010

Here’s the next installment in the series Video THAT Much Better. If you’ve been doing videos for a while now, this video encourages you to consider changing things up a bit and try screencasting. Screencasting is simply recording the actions that happen on your screen and creating a movie out of it. It’s a great way to demonstrate your software product or how to navigate your website. I use Screenflow from telestream.net for my screencasting videos.

If you have an online website or computer-based training that you would like made into a video resource, please email me or leave a comment below.

VSP recommends the Kodak Zi8 for affordable video

The Kodak Zi8 allows small businesses to easily incorporate video into their marketing plan. Video is the most effective way to keep visitors on your site longer. Longer visitor times can often translate into higher conversions and increased sales.

This little camera packs a real punch. The recommended 16gb memory chip can store up to 6 hours of video, but the Zi8 comes with just a 2-hour battery; so a second battery is suggested. And although the battery can be recharged within the Kodak, a separate charger is also recommended so that you are always prepared to shoot video. Each piece in this kit has been carefully selected to provide optimum results.

With true HD quality video, and following tips from the Video That Much Better series, your videos can look even more professional.
