Video That Much Better: Change Location

by Vickie on July 2, 2010

If you shoot a lot of video at your desk, or in your office, how about a change of scenery? Shooting video outdoors can be a great change of pace, more engaging and give you better lighting. Watch out for loud noises, like your neighbor’s weed whacker, or passing traffic. Pay attention to the background. Remember how we watch out for busy backgrounds indoors? Well, watch out for literally busy background when outdoors, like highway traffic or children playing at recess. Now, of course, there can be circumstances where these backgrounds can be appropriate, but if you’re just doing short, instructional-style videos, I wouldn’t recommend it. Watch out for anything that may distract the viewer from paying attention to you. And, finally, don’t forget that external mic!

Community Manager: Your Liaison to the Digital Domain

It's a Catch-22. You need more business, so you want to market through social media, but doing it yourself will take a lot of time to learn; and then you'll have to manage your online profiles. Yet taking the time to learn social media marketing takes you away from your business, which you can't afford to do.

That's where a Community Manager comes in. Based on how widespread you want your online presence to be, VSP will develop a winning strategy that includes Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, blogging, video, email and mobile marketing to take your business from "ho-hum" to "hallelujah!" As ambassadors for your brand, we act as your liaison to the digital community, engaging with customers as well as prospects to increase awareness of your products and services.
